COVID-19 Virus Procedures

Like everyone, we have implemented special procedures.

During the Health Emergency

Virtual Meetings

Starting with our Sunday March 15th, 2020 Discussion and Meeting for Worship, we added a "virtual" meeting option for all our members, especially those in high-risk health groups. We successfully used Zoom Video Conferencing to join eleven attendees (plus at least six dogs and three cats) from our homes in Little Rock, Conway, Fayetteville, and near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.(!)

To join our virtual meetings, email the Meeting at
lrquakers@gmail.com (or call and leave a message at 501-664-7223) and we will send you an email containing the next meeting's connection information.

For further discussion please join us on our Facebook page, and on our Google Forum and Email list.

Cleaning

During the health emergency we have become especially thoughtful about cleaning our public spaces and our homes.

Fortunately the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can be destroyed with soap or alcohol-based cleaners. There is no need to damage your skin or furnishings with bleach or even antibacterial compounds.

Click the Do the Five link on this page for more things you can do.

Calm Presence

Unfortunately it's easy to panic in an emergency, and an attitude of panic reduces our ability to care for ourselves and minister to others.

Please take some time every day to reflect on how you can care for yourself. Please reflect upon how you are ministering to those around you.

Please do not spread false or corrosive information you hear or see.

Try to share only information from authoritative sources, such as the CDC or WHO.
